A one-time professional golfer creates works that seem to pour from a well of pure innocence. With raw scrap wood as his canvas, painting dense and layered imaginative scenes of alligators, big cats, people and even rocket ships.
Rick Borg (b. 1958 in Columbus, Ohio) received his MFA from The Ohio State University. His works have been collected and exhibited extensively nationally and internationally in venues both radical and traditional, from bar rooms and barber shops to mansions and museums. Borg currently lives and works in Columbus, Ohio at Milo Arts, a thriving artist community housed within an historic elementary school building.
